WHY VETERINARIAN FOR CHIROPRACTIC?

During my career as a veterinary surgeon in the clinic, especially in dealing with lameness and back problems in horses as well as small animals I often reached my limits. One horse in particular remains in my memory, a Mecklenburger showjumping horse. He had bad back problems and was almost not to be ridden any more. We had exhausted all of our knowledge and treatment opportunities.

More or less by chance I went to a CPD (Boehringer Roadshow) in Hamburg and listened to Dr. Sybil Moffatt, who spoke about chiropractic and back problems in horses. With this as inspiration I found a horse chiropractor and sent my patient to him. Eight weeks and two treatments later he was almost fully recovered and comfortable and fit to be ridden again without problems.

This and several more similar experiences led me to the decision to learn and understand chiropractic. Given the treatment successes, I am now completely focused on this therapy method. I never regretted my decision. Due to the teaching at the IAVC during the last years my understanding for chiropractic could grow significantly.
